1.56 End of summer 2025 edition
A half year has passed since the last update but still 10 minor versions of the VeloDS app have passed the appstores.
Here is a recap of major changes:
- You can upload files to the team space so all team members can see them.
- Four additional race location types, parking and PPO (from and to the race)
- A DS has quick acces to the required (UCI) information of the members allocated to the race from the app.
- Clear icon (X) on the dates to quickly remove the date.
- Ability to resend a welcome email to members and see if they activated their account.
- There is a new url for the portal https://velods.app. The old https://app.velods.nl will forward you to this new url.
Some of the functional improvements are:
- If you add a location by gps coordinates then these coordinates are not corrected to the nearest address that the location service indicates. The coordinates will stay the coordinates that you entered.
- The veloviewer service had a contract change which broke the functionality
- The UCI calendar service had a contract change which broke the functionality
- As a consequence of a major update of the framework with which the app is created some Android phone architectures were no longer supported. The app could no longer be updated on the affected phones. These architectures have been reintroduced and the updates should work again.
- The login process gave a lot of errors. It took a long time to figure out a solution but we took some measurements on our resources and we haven’t seen it happening since.
